How we calculate
Every number comes unchanged from the live endpoints of the three sister sites, and each one shows its source
and the time it was measured. The dot is green when the data is within the source's usual delay, and amber when it arrived
later.
- Wind and domestic generation — from holaszel.hu, based on
energy-charts.info (Fraunhofer ISE); the measured data is typically
2.5–3 hours old. In the mix, “solar” means utility-scale plants only: nobody measures rooftop and business
panels, so they appear only on the solar panel, with MAVIR's estimate.
- Solar power — from holanap.hu: the measured output of solar
plants plus the estimate for rooftop and business panels, from data of MAVIR, the
Hungarian transmission system operator, every quarter-hour.
- Storage — from holatarolo.hu: the measured charging and
discharging of grid-scale batteries, from MAVIR data, once a day with a delay of 1–3 days. The charging and discharging
hours are calculated: the best daily cycle of a 5 MW / 10 MWh battery at the day's exchange price, exactly as on
holatarolo.hu.
- Exchange price — from holanap.hu: the HUPX day-ahead price on energy-charts.info (Bundesnetzagentur | SMARD.de,
CC BY 4.0), with SMARD itself as the fallback.
- Methodology — the methodology of holanap.hu and
holatarolo.hu, and the explanation on
holaszel.hu.
